TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS
......cos it's Wednesday and it's our Relationship day on this blog... It's a very touching day for me cos most of these domestic violence we are talking about or afraid to experience can be avoided if early enough we can identify and exclude ourselves from toxic relationships. Before you think or consider what people will think or say if you try to quit or stay in the relationship think of yourself-your health, your emotions, your future and decide if you finally want to settle with that... Cos it's really nobody's business except yours!!
So let's get to it... Toxic refers to anything harmful and which can even kill you... Same way some relationships or individuals are not worthy of you..they literally can hamper or even kill you. Know that you are too good for certain individuals..God is so loving that He tries to try to get you out of a connection with fools. You know a tree by its Fruits right? Fruits are the visible manifestation of who you are. Really toxic relationships have its Fruits, its physical manifestations. The greatest thing you should be afraid of is ignorance. Your character is proportional to your destiny.
Most of us don't read books. Things we ought to focus on we don't. Some ladies are more concerned of a guy opening the car for them. Hellur a jack can help you with that. Some people say love is blind... My dear marriage will open your eyes... Let's look the fruits of a toxic relationship...
1.Intimidation: if you are in a relationship and someone makes you afraid by using looks, actions, gestures to control you... , my dear Pls watch it.
2. Smashing n breaking of things: if you are in a relationship that someone gets angry and there's always something that comes upon him/her to destroy things... Even if it's a watch, your head might follow next... Pls flee.. It's not the handsomeness of a guy or the beauty of a lady that you will marry... The character will always be all that matters n keep standing...
3.Emotional abuse: this involves putting you down, cutting you to size through words especially in public... Things like hold on excuse me lemme talk, keep quiet, I senior you... Whosoever makes you feel bad of yourself is not good for you. By their fruits you shall know them... One who points you to your past... Mehn tell the person off... Anyone who calls you by name or negative names like idiot or so... Pls leave... Or someone tells you to upgrade... You are too slow for my liking... Or people that interrogate you alot, monitor your movements... Dearest it's madness n it's toxic for you... Some people think its care... Some even carry your phone... Nobody has the right to take your phone and scroll through without your permission until you are married.... Some check your contacts or messages n even go to the extent of forwarding all the messages or contacts to their own phone to verify.... What insecurities!!!!!
Making your partner feel quilty, or shaming him or her in public... are all forms of abuse emotionally.
4. Isolation...
Being in a relationship where one doesn't want you to communicate to others or even people of the opposite sex or people who they feel you might develop special interest in.dearest pls reconsider .. Look you are not the most beautiful person or handsome person on earth...u will soon see someone who will make you feel like a money so be grateful beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Feel comfortable with who you are... Your partner might introduce you to all his female friends and Mehn he is multiplying your influence before them.. So be comfortable.
Anybody that cuts you off from your friends or your areas of interest... Pls that's toxic... Someone who wants to know where you are, who you are with, etc watch it... Someone who doesn't like your interest but cuts you off from it or excuses himself cos of Jealousy... That's toxic. Can you stand to see your man hug another lady?....you can't tell your partner to leave his friends cos they are not good... But really he has been there with them before you came.. So now with your presence his friends will corrupt him... And vice versa.
5.Making light of an abuse..
Check people who always excuse their actions.. He slapped u once n said he didn't know what came on him. OK. Watch out for those who shift blames for their actions. Or they slap you saying the Holy Ghost asked him to get the devil out of you.... When the face comes blue black is it the face the devil's face?
6. Taking undue advantage
When someone begins to treat you like a servant or takes the most of the decisions or tells you how to spend your money or even collect it especially as a lady... Pls watch it. You are not yet married and someone is ordering you to wash clothes or cook or clean like a servant.. Just get out. A man begging you money as a lady and he doesn't make the efforts to work n you lady, you wire it to him... Saying you wanna care.. Listen necessity is the mother of inventions. .by the way poverty makes you think... So let him think.. He won't die of hunger. Must you as a lady, tell a guy on a first day you work in Chevron... He will fall in love with oil n when it dries up, he will look for another chevron.
7. Economic abuse... When someone questions what you spend your money on for his selfish needs... Saying things like why should you spend on a shoe or cloth of so so so n so amount... Hmmm Abeg Ehn flee... If someone complains of your job or getting a big contract just cos he doesnt want you to be ahead of him or someone discourages your efforts on bringing in money so you be solely dependent on him or her or someone likes you asking for money not earning money... Abegi ✈. This is 21st century... To train a child in the best schools ever Mehn two heads have to be working....
So Pls... The Bible said subdue the earth,be fruitful n multiply doesnt mean you give birth to 10children or more... Cos you like a large family.. Hmm hope you don't come back begging n running away....
In closing if someone doesn't want you to know the access or how or what he or she does to make money, build houses...pls Pls make your enquiries well before you settle with an armed robber, cultist, etc... Love is blind... Marriage will open your eyes... If you find out someone blames you for things that go wrong in their lives saying ever since you came into my life, I lost my job, things are not going forward, etc... Think twice... When someone does something to scare you or calls you names that are very uncomfortable pls n Pls gerrout..... Someone that is difficult to handle, incorrigible, never listens when apologized to... Pls just give yourself a break out...
What choice do you have to make. Marriage won't change anything esp if the person has a bad attitude. They say by their FRUITS (CHARACTER). So take your eyes off the suit or the person outwardly n focus on the person's fruit n decide for yourself.
