Tara Fela-Durotoye is the founder and CEO of House of Tara International and creator of the Tara Orekelewa Beauty range, Inspired Perfume and the H.I.P Beauty range. Back in 1998, at the age of 20,whilst an undergraduate at university ,she started House of Tara from her living room. A lawyer turned leading beauty and make-up entrepreneur; Tara is the Pioneer of the bridal make-up profession in Nigeria. She launched the first bridal directory in 1999, set up international standard make-up studios and established the first make-up school in Nigeria
with over 3000 reps and 21 stores spread across Nigeria and Africa to her name, this entrepreneur is relentlessly dedicated to realizing her vision of building a globally respected beauty company of African origin. She remains an inspirational role model and mentor to make up artists and aspiring beauty business oowners across Africa.

She recently birthed a new project called the TFD Series..The TFD series was a concept initiated by my Mentor, Mrs Ibukun Awosika who wanted to spend time with ladies younger than her. Her mentor saw the impact the time she spent with her had on her and she felt she could give more by helping young women shape their purpose and live a full life; not just being successful at work but making the right choice for a spouse,wealth creation,management and more. When her mentor expressed this desire, Tara told 10 of her mentees to come with questions on various issues, and had over 70 people in attendance for the first event which held on Monday and it was such an emotional, inspiring session.

One of the greatest things about the TFD series is the ripple effect because people became more confident in public speaking and their confidence improved. The next one would be in December where her focus will be on investment and wealth creation as executives on entrepreneurs.

So here is it for now: 
My lesson gained is this...Anything is possible...start small but don't end small. Fly with eagles. Mentorship is very important and you have to know who and what mentors you. It is very important. You are uniquely different and there's a seed of greatness in you. Begin now....

THE VALUE FOR TIME

Time is one of the most valuable resources given to us and you get what you make out of it. Time is a gift given to us by God Almighty... and as such it ought to be treasured. Just like every resource we have, you are going to be responsible and accountable for the resources given to you. In essence you are going to account for this time, and what will be in your time-account? Time they say is money... DETERMINATION

Good evening dearie...Hope you have been awesome.. Yeah today's post is coming now but it's better late than never. I'm committed to helping you discover yourself on a daily basis, hence the push to still put something down today. Today we will be summarizing all we have been saying this week so far in just one word: Determination. What is determination? It is a positive emotional feeling that involves persevering towards a difficult goal in spite of the obstacles. It occurs prior to goal attainment and serves to motivate one's behavior towards achievement of that goal. Let me paint the picture clearer this way?  Is the task before you difficult? Obviously yes. But can you quit or give up? The answer is NO and that's in simple terms DETERMINATION.
